Edge, a full-service commercial real estate firm with offices in Washington D.C., Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania, has brokered two leases totaling nearly 30,000 square feet of space within 8000 Forbes Place in Springfield, Virginia. This recent activity elevates occupancy within the two-story, 60,000 flex/office building to 88%. Edge was the exclusive brokerage firm for the building with the leasing handled by Scott Rabin, Partner, Advisory Services and Todd McManus, Vice President, Advisory Services. The Edge team represented the landlord and Adam Becher of Savills represented the tenant in both lease transactions.
Mass Electric Construction Company, an electrical contracting company servicing the power and energy, transportation and industrial sectors, signed a lease for 21,311 square feet of space. Kiewitt Building Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kiewitt Corporation and engaged in general contracting and engineering activities, signed a lease for 5,649 square feet of space.
