EDGE Commercial Successfully completes 14,141 SF for Susan G. Komen For the Cure

EDGE Commercial announced today they successfully completed a 14,141 square foot lease on behalf of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® at 901 E. Street NW, Washington, D.C. Marc C. Balamaci, Principal at EDGE, negotiated the ten year lease for a portion of the 4th floor. 901 E Street was purchased by the Pew Charitable Trusts in February of 2008 and has since been undergoing a complete renovation that will include achieving LEED certification. Komen for the Cure’s space will also be LEED certified and opened earlier this month.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures for breast cancer. Komen founder Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Thanks to events like the Komen Race for the Cure, Komen has invested more than $1.3 billion, becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.
