EDGE and Washington Property Company Lease 32,649 Square Feet in Tysons

Tysons Corner, Va. – EDGE Commercial Real Estate and Washington Property Company announce today the successful leasing at 8618 Westwood Center Drive in Tysons. Washington Property Company, the landlord, and EDGE, who represents WPC, have most recently completed four transactions totaling 32,649 square feet of new leases and renewals within the building; bringing it to 92 percent leased.

“The leasing velocity at 8618 Westwood Center is a true testament to the desire for companies to be near the newly opened Silver Line Metro,” said Scott Rabin, Senior Vice President at EDGE Commercial Real Estate. “The number of walkable amenities, the ease of access from Route 7 the Dulles Toll Road, as well as the proximity to the new Metro station make the property highly sought-after in this market.”

New tenants to 8618 Westwood Center Drive include Homefix Corporation, for 11,797 square feet and Stellar Science Ltd, who leased 917 square feet. Day & Night Printing renewed its 18,230 square foot lease and Parsons (formerly Delcan) expanded its lease by 1,705 square feet from 7,852 square feet to 9,557 square feet.

“Companies relocating  from other submarkets within Fairfax County to Tysons Corner is a trend we have been seeing for a number of months,” notes Rabin. “We expect this to continue well-into 2016.” There is currently 8,600 square feet remaining at 8618 Westwood Center Drive. Washington Property Company manages 1.8 million square feet throughout the Washington, DC Metropolitan area.
